Citrix Workspace Install

This article is intended for Citrix administrators and technical teams only. Non-admin users must contact their company’s Help Desk/IT support team and can refer to CTX297149 for more information. Citrix Workspace app is the new universal app for all workspace services, that will encompass all Citrix clients and app capabilities over time. Download the latest version of Citrix Workspace app for Windows (version 2012.1 or higher) from the Citrix Downloads page. Manually update to Citrix Workspace app 2012.1 for Windows or higher by launching the CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe that you downloaded in Step 1. You will now be able to automatically update to higher versions of Citrix Workspace app.

When trying to install Citrix Workspace App (v. 1911) on Windows 10 Pro v. 1909 I keep getting the following error:

'Installation unsuccessful.

Unable to install the following prerequisites. Install them manually and then try to install Citrix Workspace app again.

Citrix Workspace Install Time

*.NET Framework 4.6.2 or later: Error Code: 193'

The problem is my laptop does already have a higher version of .NET Framework pre-installed.

Please advise what I can do to get Citrix Workspace App running on my laptop.

This article is intended for students, faculty, and staff who need to download and install Citrix Workspace, particularly in order to access UConn AnyWare. Citrix Workspace is now required in order to use the full version of the updated UConn AnyWare.

Downloading and Installing Citrix Workspace for Mac

To install Citrix Workspace for Mac,

1. Navigate to the Citrix Workspace App page.
2. Select the Workspace App for Mac tab.
3. Select the new Workspace App for Mac tab that shows up.
4. Choose the Citrix Workspace App for Mac link.
5. Click on the blue Download Citrix Workspace App for Mac button.
6. A download pop-up should appear at the bottom of your screen. Once it finishes downloading, click on the pop-up.
7. In the subsequent window, double click on the icon that says Install Citrix Workspace.
8. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Citrix Workspace onto your computer.
9. Move the Citrix Installer to Trash.
10. Click on the Citrix Workspace icon in your Applications tab in Finder.
11. Enter your UConn email address.
12. Enter your NetID and password to log in. You will then be able to use Citrix Workspace when trying to access UConn AnyWare or any other software that requires Citrix Workspace.

Downloading and Installing Citrix Workspace for Windows

To install Citrix Workspace for Windows,

1. Navigate to Citrix Workspace App page.
2. Select the Workspace App for Windows tab.
3. Select the Workspace App for Windows Current Release tab.
4. Choose the Citrix Workspace app for Windows link that appears.
5. Click on the blue Download Citrix Workspace App for Windows button.
6. A download pop-up should appear at the bottom of your screen. Once it finishes downloading, click on the pop-up.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Citrix Workspace onto your computer.
8. Enter Citrix Workspace in the search bar at the bottom of your screen.
9. Click on Citrix Workspace in the search results.
10. Enter your UConn email address.
11. Enter your NetID and password when you arrive at the login screen to login. You will then be able to use Citrix Workspace when trying to access UConn AnyWare or any other software that requires Citrix Workspace.
